COMPANY HISTORY Early in 1964, in San Jose, California, Quinton Rehak realized that California’s home buyers would feel more secure when purchasing a previously owned home if it were “warranted” for the first year. He formed California’s first home warranty company to fill this need, called it Rehak Mobile Services, and it prospered. By 1978, The California Department of Insurance (CDI) was designated to oversee and regulate this emerging industry. In 1980, Rehak Associates Mobile Services, Inc. (a closely held California Corporation) was granted a grand fathered right to sell and service “home warranties” through-out the state. Mr. Rehak eventually opened a second office in Orange County to handle the southern portion of the state. 1991 brought many changes to Rehak Associates Mobile Services, Inc. John M. Mazurkiewitz became the new President and C.E.O. and the company set about many positive changes. By 1992, the company had centralized it’s headquarters in Temecula, California. The home protection license was fully perfected with the California Department of Insurance and a new d.b.a. was born: RAM Home Warranty. Mr. Mazurkiewitz has guided the company to phenomenal growth (well over 2000% since 1991), establishing RAM as California’s first and best run home warranty company. The year 2003 has seen RAM expanding again. RAM’s unique and ingenious marketing approach (which includes The Welcome Club) gives it a distinct advantage in any market it chooses to enter. Also, it’s revolutionary “Friends for Life” Program makes prior RAM policy holders into customers for life. As a licensed home warranty company, RAM meets and greatly exceeds all the CDI financial and accounting requirements. A highly efficient, well trained staff handles all orders and claims in a fast, fair and friendly manner. RAM maintains excellent standing governmental regulatory bodies and consumer groups. RAM has a very high rate of policy renewal, and accomplishes this without the use of telemarketing.
